1.) Write about one 'CONFLICT' that one of the main characters is having in the novel you are reading. Be sure to include what type of conflict it is. You must clearly state the type and details of the conflict. If you have forgotten, you may go to this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conflict_(narrative). Please note, that this wikipedia page is not 100% correct. The different types of conflicts should not say 'MAN VS', it should read 'PERSON VS'. You must state that your conflict is one of the 5 listed on this webpage.
2.) Go back to Assignment #1,2, and #3. Read all of the responses by your classmates. Then, you must comment on one of the students' blog posts by offering your opinion. This may be in the form of a suggestion on how they may improve their posts, or in the form of agreement to their post. You can Tell them that you agree with what they said, however you must also include your reasons why you agree.
One conflict in Shadow in Hawthorn Bay is, person vs. self, Mary is fighting with herself debating why and why not to go into upper Canada to find her cousin Duncan.

ReplyDeleteOne conflict is person vs self, Mary has to choose decisions for herself. Well because she is living by herself and people keep on wanting for her to move in with them because she is a 15year old girl who probably doesn't know how to take care of herself properly e.g like hunting for food, getting herself water, and a proper job.
